I didn't start lifting to look a certain way. I started because I was tired of being afraid of getting older.
I found strength training at 39 — later than I expected, earlier than I thought I had left. And it changed something. Not overnight, not in a "before and after" photo kind of way. It changed how I move through the world.
Turns out lifting does two things at once. Long-term, it's one of the best things you can do for your body as you age — bone density, muscle mass, independence, the stuff nobody tells you about until you're Googling it at midnight. Short-term? It just makes me feel good. More energy. More patience. More me.
And somewhere along the way, I stopped shrinking. I stopped apologizing for taking up space — in the gym, in a room, in my own life. That's the part nobody puts on a motivational poster, but it's the part that actually stuck.
Lift Lioness exists for the women who get it.
The ones who started at 30, 45, 60 — it doesn't matter when, it matters that you showed up. The ones who train for what their body can do, not what it looks like. The ones who are strong and not sorry about it.
We make T-shirts for that. Bold enough to say what you mean, a little cheeky, a lot proud. No cardio bunny energy, no "shrink yourself" messaging — just women who lift, and the shirts to prove it.
Strong isn't a phase. It's the plan.
